Warranty

Windline will, at its option, either repair or replace any defective product or part with a comparable product or part, without charge. The defective product must be returned by the original purchaser, transportation charges prepaid, to Windline and must be accompanied by a written explanation of the defect, and how and when the product was used.


This offer does not apply to any product which has been improperly installed, subject to misuse, negligence, accident, or has been designed, altered, or previously repaired by others.  This offer is applicable to standard Windline products only.  It does not apply to products that have been designed or modified in whole or part to meet custom requirements.  Breakage from loads in excess of the recommended load limits is specifically exempt from this warranty.  Windline makes no warranties, implied or otherwise, and this offer is applicable only to material and labor defects and to wear or breakage during normal use.

Windline reserves the right to examine and test the product to determine the nature of the damage.

Windline shall not be liable in tort or contract for any expense, loss, or damage, direct, incidental, or consequential, and except as the law produces, is responsible only to replace or repair the defective product as stated above. 

 

Any custom part specifically made for a boat builder is not covered under the lifetime warranty.   These custom items will be inspected and repaired, if possible, and returned to the customer with a repair fee.  If a new part needs to be produced, and Windline can still produce part, the customer would need to purchase the new unit.  The customer should always check with their boat builder before contacting Windline for warranty.  Boat builders carry certain products in stock.
